- North Dallas Commodore User Group Meeting Announcement
- (Dallas, Texas USA)
-
- The North Dallas Commodore User Group (NDCUG) is a club devoted to all
- "Classic" Commodore computers including PET, Commodore 64/128, and other
- 8-bit machines. If you have a Classic Commodore and are looking for support,
- Commodore conversation, the latest news and developments, or are just curious,
- please drop by. Our next meeting is scheduled to meet at the Plano Haggard
- Public Library on Tuesday April 9 in the library's meeting room at 7:30pm.
-
- Don't let anybody fool you into thinking the old Commodore is inadequate for
- todays computer environment! This month we will go over some of the new
- developments that the geniuses at CMD and other companies will be pumping out
- in the near future. This includes discussion of a 20MHz accelerator card that
- will allow a Commodore 64/128 to perform at Intel 386 levels or better. We
- will also talk about the new version of Novaterm which from reviews appears
- to be the best telecomunications program on any platform. We may also touch
- on new software that controls a SCSI CD-ROM drive connected to the CMD HD
- contoller. To wrap it up, we will also be testing a CMD RAMLink, a RAM
- expansion device for adding up to 16MB RAM to a C64 or C128. This is shaping
- up to be one of the most informative and exiting meetings we've had in a while
- so be sure to drop by!
-
- The usual club equipment will be there (SX-64, 128D, CMD HD) plus a CMD
- RAMLink. As usual, bring your thoughts, questions, and unique toys to
- enlighten us.
-
